Willie James Addison, Jr.

Willie James Addison, a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on August 5th, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday August 12th, 2023 at 2:00pm at Eastside Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Zion Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Willie James Addison, Jr., affectionately known to many as “Pete”, was born March 8, 1963, to Willie Mae Addison and the late Willie James Addison, Sr. Pete attended Birmingham City Public Schools. Also, he attended the Job Corp, where he took up Electrician. Pete enjoyed dancing and laughing. He would do just about anything for anyone, if you asked him. In March 2023, he was diagnosed with cancer, and became very ill in a short amount of time. Pete departed this earthly home on August 5, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie James Addison, Sr.; his grandmother, Susie Mae Croskey and his nephew, Gjamal Rodriqcus. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Willie Mae Addison; daughter, Jamela Johnson; three sisters, Jacqueline (Willie) Smith, Linda Escott and Antoinette Addison; three brothers, Anthony Caldwell, Eric Addison and Derrick Benion; seven nephews, TeDarrius Escott, Rardecus Addison, Mario Addison, Julius Addison, DeVunte Escott, Robert Smith and Jah’Markus Escott; two nieces, Demina Addison, Alondria Caldwell and a host of great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends
