William Batts, Sr.

William Batts, Sr. a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on October 16th, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 21st, 2023, at 11:00am at Graveside at Oakland Memorial Gardens.

William Batts was born on November 9, 1960, to the late Edna Mae Meadows and Hillard Batts. William began his walk with Christ at Hillsview Seven Day Adventist Church in Queenstown. He was not a stranger to anyone. He loved people and made friends wherever he went. William would lend a helping hand to anyone who was in need. He often called out to people, “What’s up O’Boy or What’s up O’Girl?” His favorite charity to give to was St. Jude. He was so proud to be a member and wear his T-Shirt. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Angela Batts; three daughters, Kimberly Batts of Pelham, AL, Starnitria Batts and Nikkesha (Raphyelle) Fomby; two sons, William, Jr. (Karoline) Batts and Darion Batts, all of Birmingham, AL; seven grandchildren, Kaleb, Katlyn, Andre, Wrylynn, Laci, Christian and Raphyelle, Jr.; one brother, Julius (Julia) Meadows; one sister, Brinda Chandler; father-in-law, Gregory Andrews; aunt-in-law, Chanterry Woody; brother-in-law, Cameron Wright; godson, Maurice Ruffin; godbrother, Walter Cunningham; god sister, Shirley Lewis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
