Tamla D Jones

Tamla D. Jones, a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on January 30, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 2:00pm at Eastside Funeral Home Ensley with burial at Alabama National Cemetery.  

Tamla Darice (Kay) Jones was born on December 31, 1970, to the late Percy Jones and Teresa LeSure. She graduated from A. H. Parker High School Class of 1989. She enlisted in the U. S. Army right after high school. She served her country eight years before being honorably discharged. Afterwards, she was a Cap1 Stock Associate for Walmart 280 until she was unable to work. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Zachary Young; mother, Teresa LeSure; sister, Tawrika (LaRon) Thomas; brother, Anthony Wright; aunts, Patrice Jones, Betty (Farnzy) Reid, Patricia (Eddie) Blackmon, Janice Nixon, Veda Jones, Natasha Jones and Jakova (Earnest) Munez; four uncles, Gregory Wright, Jerald Jones, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Jones and Johnathan (Ineathea) Jones; special cousin, Jaylessa Jordan; three nephews, LaRon, Jr. (Tynisha) Thomas, Timothy (Ashley) Thomas and Joshua Thomas; two nieces, Keauana Strowsder and Deborah Thomas; four great nieces and one great nephew with a host of cousins and friends.
