Susie Jeffery

Susie Jeffery, a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on May 19th, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 25th, 2023, at 12:00pm at Graveside at Zion Memorial Gardens.

Susie Jeffery was born on April 4, 1934, to the union of the late Rush Jeffery, Sr. and Millie Wilkerson Jeffery. “Mama, Grandama or Auntie Susie”, as she was affectionately called, professed Christ under Bishop Calvin Woods, Sr. at the East End Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Birmingham City School system. She retired after many years from Plantation Patterns. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rush and Millie Jeffery; siblings, Ola Mae McGhee, Robert Jeffery, Sr., Henry Jeffery, Joseph Jeffery, Sr. and Rush Jeffery, Jr.; granddaughter, Millietha Dysart. She leaves to forever cherish her memories: her devoted daughter, Theresa Motley; seven grandchildren, Darrell (Marshida) Jeffery, Latisha Thomas, Michelle Petty, Airelle Jeffery, Joseph Jeffery and LaQueena Motley; thirteen great grandchildren, twenty-five great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
