Shirley Ann Doyle

 Shirley Ann Hale Doyle, a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on September 23, 2025. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 11:00am at Eastside Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Oakland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  Shirley, affectionately known as “Miss Shirley”, was a loving mother of 3, grandmother of 10, great-grandmother of 19 and a friend and loved one to many. Shirley peacefully transitioned in her home on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025, while surrounded by family. 

Shirley was born on January 18th, 1948, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was educated in the Birmingham Public School System, and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She worked in various hospitality and service management roles, and was known for her innovation, hard work, and leadership in the workplace.  She will be remembered for her resourcefulness, caring nature, her quirkiness, sense of humor, her pride in her children, and her joy of being around her family and friends that she loved and cherished dearly.

Shirley boasts 4 generations of 31 descendants- daughters Anja Doyle and Kenyetta Burrell (Stanley); son, Fernando Doyle, II, (Holly) 9 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Christine Hale, and grandson Johnathon Doyle. Left to cherish beautiful memories are her children, family, friends, loved ones, and her long-time companion, Terrence Sanders.
