Norma Gholston - Kennedy, a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on November 6th, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 18th, 2023 at 11:00am at Eastside Funeral Home with burial at Zion Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Norma Yvette Gholston-Kennedy was born on August 8, 1960, at Hillman Hospital (UAB Hospital) in Birmingham, Alabama to Donald Gholston, Sr. and Earnestine Davis. She was baptized at an early age with her siblings at Peace Baptist Church (Greater New Antioch Baptist Church). Mrs. Kennedy attended G.W. Carver High School through the years 1974-1978. Yet later she graduated from Parker High School, still a Proud RAM. She worked at Carraway Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama for a total of thirty plus years. She married Mr. Gregoy Lee Kennedy on April 5, 1991, celebrating 32 years of marriage. Mrs. Norman Gholston-Kennedy was called home, November 6, 2023, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama amongst her loving family. She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Gholston; sisters, Angelus Hill and LaSonya Gholston Davis; brothers, John Eric Gholston and David Wayne Gholston and nephew, Delevron Gholston. She leaves to celebrate her precious memory her only child, Mr. Torre J. Gholston; husband, Gregory L. Kennedy; grandson, Jaylen M. Gholston; mother, Mrs. Earnestine Davis; stepdaughter, Tiffany Davis; brothers, Donald, Jr. (Yunita) Gholston and Errol Gholston; sister, Donetta (Leonard) Oliver; nieces and nephews, Erika Gholston Al-Hamdani (Mahammed), Wilah Saba, Leonardo Oliver (Chante), Fatima Gholston, Katrice (Billy) Knight, Christopher Gholston, Kameka (Terry) Burrells, Lakiera Walker, Andrea Gholston, Eric Jones, Malik Gholston and Brandy Gholston
