Nathaniel Williams

Nathaniel Williams, a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on January 12, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 11:00am at Eastside Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Oakland Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Nathaniel Williams was born August 9, 1944, in Eutaw, Alabama to the late Mr. Morgan Williams, Sr. and Mrs. Bertha Mae (Henderson) Williams. He confessed Christ at an early age and spent much of his life in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a member of Lily Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Birmingham, and spent time as an usher before his health made that difficult. Mr. Williams furthered his education by becoming a Certified Chef and worked at several Birmingham restaurants. Also, he spent time as a DJ for hire. Mr. Williams enjoyed cooking, music, and watching football. He will be missed. Mr. Williams departed this life on Wednesday, January 12, 2023, at Grandview Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Morgan Williams, Sr. and Mrs. Bertha Mae Williams and sisters, Annie Ruth Brown and Rosetta Walker. He leaves to cherish his memory a brother, Morgan Williams, Jr; three sisters, Lucius Ann Mumford, Carolyn Hooks and Rugena (Andra) Burke; a devoted nephew, Kenneth Doss. Also, he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, grand, great grand, and great-great grand nieces and nephews.
