Lawrence Swain, III, a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on November 5th, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 18 at 11:00am at Fresh Fire Worship Ministries with burial at Oakland Memorial Gardens.
Lawrence Swain, III, cordially known as “Boss Hog” was born to Mr. Lawrence Swain, Jr. and the late Brenda D. Swain on September 30, 1984, in Birmingham, Alabama. Lawrence departed this world on November 5, 2023. Lawrence accepted God into his life and was baptized at an early age. He was educated in the Jefferson County School system. He was a loving son, devoted brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, and a great friend to those who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Lawrence was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Swain; grandmother, Bretha Mae Rose; grandfather, Lawrence Swain, Sr.; uncle, James Lamar Rose; cousin, Eric Cotton, and stepbrother, Demetrius Keith. He leaves to cherish his memories: father, Lawrence (Shirley) Swain, Jr.; brother, Jermion (Elaine) Rose; sister, Tamekia Mayes; stepsisters, Jaterria Jones, Shuntae Hooten, and Sophia Scott; grandmother, Margie Swain; grandfather, R.C. (Gloria) Rose; godmother, Yvonne Harrison; stepfather, Jay Isom; aunts, Gwendolyn Cotton, Dorothy Lee, Susan Swain, Marilyn Bowie, Vernita Jones and Josephine Twyman; uncle, Morris Rose; nephews, Jerimon Rose, Jr., Jeremiah Rose, Jayden Rose, and Joshua Rose; special cousins, Jamar (Lil Bo) Jones, Fred Rush, James, Jr. (JRock) Rose, Monica Bowie, Nakia Garrett, Tamica Jones, Marquetta Swain, Marcieanna Swain, and Darnisha Lee; childhood friend, Dez Murddock; a special in-law, Arvouris Ravford and a host of loved cousins, relatives, and friends.
