Corey Thomas, a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on January 16, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:00pm at Eastside Funeral Home Chapel Ensley with burial at Oakland Memorial Gardens.

Corey Dewayne Thomas was born July 20, 1976, to Brenda Ann Thomas and Jimmy Bolden. He was the baby boy of two children born. Preceding Corey in death is his mother, Brenda Ann, his stepfather, James “Tip” Hines and grandmother, Mattie M. Thomas. He was educated in the Birmingham City School system. Corey was a proud graduate of Ensley Magnet High School. Corey was a true believer in God almighty and his works. Corey Dewayne Thomas also known as “Cool” leaves to cherish his memories: one loving sister, Shondra Thomas Williams; three aunts, Priscilla Banks, Paulette Thomas and Jeanette (Robert) Driver; three uncles, Paul Thomas, Willie Thomas of New Jersey and Jerry Thomas of Virginia; a special friend, Santia Watts, and a Heaven-sent son, Jamari Watts, with a host of other family and friends.
