Clara Mae Green

Clara Green, a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on January 25, 2023. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11:00am at Wilson Chapel Baptist Church with burial at Zion Memorial Gardens.  

Clara was born January 28, 1942, to the late Joe and Bettie Mae Rembert in Marengo County, Alabama. She confessed Christ at an early age. She served on the Usher Board at Wilson Chapel Baptist Church. Later, she moved to Birmingham, Alabama where she was educated in Birmingham Public School System. She was employed at Medical Center East for 10 years until her retirement in 2004. She was preceded in death by her lifetime husband, Mr. Murphy Green; daughters, Nikita Green Laister, Jeanetta Stone; grandson, Javian Stone; brothers, John Rembert and Joe Rembert, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories daughters, Geneva Green, Marilyn Green (Dexter) Massey; son, Melvin Green; Goddaughter Mary Smith; grandchildren, Marcus Laister, Marquita Laister, Justin Green, Victor Stone, Jr., Jameria Green; great grandchildren Zykirian Dawson, Courtlyn Laister, Camden Laister, Niqius Laister, Ameer Green, Braylon Killings, and NiAndre Howard and a host of other family members and friends.
