Christopher Steed

Christopher Steed, a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on March 12th, 2023. Funeral are scheduled for Saturday, March 25th, 2023 at 1:00pm at Victory City Church.

Christopher De’Andre Steed was born September 10, 1984, to Horace Van and Felecia Renee Steed in Birmingham, Alabama. His father preceded him in death. Christopher attended school and church in both Birmingham, Alabama and Detroit, Michigan while living with his parents and grandparents, Isaac (Ike) Williams who preceded him in death. At an early age, he accepted Christ and was baptized at New Zion Bibleway Church while staying with them. He attended David McKinzie High School in Detroit, Michigan. He furthered his education at the Ohio State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems. In 2009, he left Detroit and moved to Birmingham, Alabama. He worked several jobs including Amazon Warehousing Contracting and ACSI for Kelly Services was his last job. Additionally, he held several patents for inventions. In his spare time, he rebuilt and installed computers and security cameras as well as mounting televisions. He loved cooking, playing instruments and video games. He was very good with his hands. He loved all his family and friends, and everyone loved Chris. Chris was a fun-loving guy. He was a great stand-up comedian. In 1995, he married Delois Ferguson. To that union Heaven Leigh Steed was born. He is survived by his grandmother, Christine Williams; five children, LeDejah, Christopher, Jr., Taylor, Tyloe and Heaven; his siblings, Michelle, Lesa (David), Jelano, Venisha, De’Ventrice and DeShun and a host of other relatives and friends.
