Calvin Scott

Calvin Scott, a resident of Birmingham, AL departed this life to eternal rest on October 30th, 2023. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, November 4th, 2023, at 4:00pm at Eastside Funeral Home Chapel.

Our father Calvin Scott was born on November 23, 1959, to the late Calvin Scott and the late MaryNell Simmons in Griffin, Georgia. He graduated from Griffin High School and joined the United States Navy afterwards and served for eight years. For more than 20 years, he was employed by CTDI where he was an Electronic Technician. Preceding him in death was his beloved wife, Thyosis (Brown) Scott; his mother, MaryNell Simmons; his father, Calvin Scott and his brother, Christopher Scott, Sr. He is survived by his daughters, Tiana (Calvin) McNeily, Jahmaica (Deno) Jett, and Sydney (Derrick) Benjamin; grandchildren, Miyah Johnson, DeAnthony Jett, Jordan Scott, Derrick Benjamin, Jr., Cristion McNeily, DeKota Benjamin, DeJah Jett, and Denver Benjamin; a loving sister, Cheryl Scott; nieces, Takiesha Moore and Chrystle Scott; nephew, Christopher Scott, Jr.; great niece, Dallas Moore; nephews, Devin and Arthur Moore and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
