On September 11, 1937, a baby boy was born into this world. This baby was named James Arthur Truss Dysart. A big name for a little baby, but he was destined for greatness. You see, he was the eldest of twelve children born to Mr. Grant, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Truss Dysart. James Arthur or “DYSART or HAIR”, as he was affectionately known as, was educated in the Birmingham City School system, “Cameron Lane Elementary School” and so forth. He worked at Shaw Warehouse. James was the father of three children, Denice and Roderick Dysart (Mary Jane) and Yvette Dysart (Janie). He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, brothers and a sister.James departed this life on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 4:16 a.m. James leaves to cherish his life and precious memories: three children, Denise, Roderick and Yvette Dysart; grandchildren; four brothers, Thomas, Nathaniel, Alvin and Robert “Bob” Dysart; two sisters, Mrs. Irma Jewett and Mrs. Gwendolyn (Herman, Sr.) Ward; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 9, 2019 at 11:00am at Eastside Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Oakland Memorial Gardens.
