Evelyn Louise Montgomery

Evelyn Louise Montgomery, 70, was born January 8, 1947 to the late John D. Montgomery Sr and Annie Belle Medlock Montgomery in Birmingham Al. She was a cherished member of Old Pentecostal Temple Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles Underwood Sr.

She attended Rosedale High School where she was a member of the Majorette Team.

Evelyn was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her spirit was kind and her presence and personality would light up a room. She was always the life of the party. Her love and support was greatly shown throughout her grand and great grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy.

On September 11, 2017, Evelyn was called to take her wings and join her heavenly father. She truly loved the lord and spoke of her knowing that she would be going to see her mom, dad, brother, and many others. She was going to have a praise party!

She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories: five wonderful children, Anthony (Ant) Montgomery (nephew/son) of Homewood, AL, Gregory K. Ramsey (Tameka) of Atlanta GA, Tracey McCann of Birmingham, AL (daughter), Sarita McCann-Ruffin of Lithia Springs, GA (daughter), Shashi Wilson of Detroit, MI (daughter); three sisters, Jackie Craghead  (Donald) of Monterey, CA, Carolyn Cole Montgomery of Pleasant Grove, AL, Janice Daniels of Birmingham, AL; 7 Grandchildren, Rachelle Williams (Jimmy), Lakesha Rachel (Douglas), Tekeshia McCann (Fedell), Jasmine Jacobs, Alexandra Baker, Tatiana Smith, Chloe Wilson; 7 great grandchildren; Kedell Dillard, Javion Williams, Khloe Dillard, Nevaeh Rachel, Mya Rose Rachel, Giovanni Rachel, J’Siah Williams. She also leaves behind two loving aunts, Gladys Perkins and Dorothy Holmes; A best friend/cousin, Joanne Hayes and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
