DeTerius Terrelle Matthews was born on August 20, 1991 to his loving parents, the late Willie Yolanda Matthews and Terrance Fenil in Birmingham, Alabama.He was a loving father, brother, cousins, uncles and friends to whomever he came in contact with. He went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2019.DeTerius is preceded in death by his late mother, Willie Matthews; grandmothers, Margarette Matthews and Shelly Fenil; his grandfather, Ralph Fenil, Sr. and Henry Earl Matthews, Sr.He leaves behind to cherish his memories: a loving father, Terrance (Sonya) Fenil; daughter, Deasia Matthews; a son, DeTerius Matthews, Jr.; one brother, Deterrance Matthews; three sisters, Tiffany, Keundra and T’Keyah Matthews; one uncle, Henry Matthews; four aunts, Charlene Mitchell, Ophelia Matthews, Tracey Matthews and Daphne Waters; two nephews, DeTerrance Matthews, Jr. and Robert Stallworth, Jr.; nieces, Niaja Makayla, Deasia, Tariq J. Fenil, Terrance R. Fenil, Jr., Ticari D. Fenil, all of Birmingham, AL, Janae Harris, Terrell Harris, Maleah Deloach of Birmingham, AL, Malaysia, Denasia, Jamaya Brooklyn and Nykiliah, all of Birmingham, AL; a host of other family and friends. . Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 3rd  , 2019 at 11:00am at Eastside Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Oakland Memorial Gardens.
