Barney James Stewart

Mr. Barney James Stewart was born on April 23, 1958 to Mr. James Owens Stewart and Mr. Hazel Smith in Birmingham, Alabama. He confessed to Christ at an early age while attending First Baptist Church of Zion City, under the direction of Reverend Turner.He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Smith; father, James Owens Stewart; sister, Alice Faye Burns and brothers, Leslie Dean Smith and Marcus Stewart.He was cherished by his loved ones: sisters, Barbara Ann Whitfield, Hazel Elizabeth Baker, Beverly Jean Smith and Brenda S. Taylor and brother, Ernest Walter Smith. Also, he was loved by his children, Courtney Moore Barney, J. Stewart, Jr. and Luchesis Stewart; grandchildren, Aaliyah Moore, Courtney Moore, Jr. and Elijah Moore; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 3rd , 2019 at 2:00 pm at Eastside Funeral Home Chapel .
